Free Winter Flu Shots for Faculty and Staff - No Appointment Necessary
As part of Tufts’ flu prevention efforts, Human Resources is sponsoring seasonal flu immunization for faculty and staff on all 3 campuses.
These walk-in clinics are offered free of charge to all members of the faculty and staff:
Boston: Tuesday, September 29, 2009, 10:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m., Posner Hall Lounge
Grafton: Friday, October 2, 2009, 10:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m., Kohnstamm Conference Room/Jean Mayer Administration Building
Medford/Somerville: Wednesday, September 23, 2009, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Alumnae Lounge
Any flu is to be taken seriously. In order to speed recovery and keep the community healthy, faculty and staff who experience flu-like symptoms-fever combined with either cough or sore throat-should not come to work and should contact their doctor with flu-related concerns.
These clinics will provide immunization against the seasonal flu. Tufts is monitoring the evolving plans for distribution of an H1N1 vaccine and once it is available will work to facilitate H1N1 immunization at Tufts in accordance with the guidelines being developed by public health authorities.
