The Tufts University Alumni Association is pleased to announce a newly enhanced alumni awards and recognition program. Faculty and staff on all campuses are encouraged to submit nominations for these awards. The expanded program not only recognizes a greater number of outstanding and accomplished alumni, but heightens the visibility of Tufts and its graduates.

-The longstanding Distinguished Service Award will now be given to recognize service to Tufts.
-As a complement to the Distinguished Service Award, the new Distinguished Achievement Award will be given for outstanding achievement in one's profession and/or community;
-The Young Alumni Award has been split into two categories-- one for service to Tufts and one for achievement in one's profession and/or community. Alumni will be awarded in one or both of these categories on an annual basis.
-Service Citations will continue to be a part of the overall program and are bestowed on worthy individuals who have made an exceptional contribution or service to Tufts and usually in one particular area of the University.
-The new Lifetime Service Award will be given to a worthy candidate who has demonstrated a lifetime of service to Tufts.
-The new Active Citizenship and Public Service Award will be given to an individual or group that develops, implements, and/or participates in a program, event or special outreach that contributes to improving the lives of others.
-The new Alumni Chapter Leadership Award has been created specifically for the Tufts Regional Alliances and the Alumni Shared Interest Groups as a way for them to recognize individuals within their respective alliances or groups who have demonstrated leadership capabilities or provided valuable input/assistance.
-The new TUAA President's Award allows the President to recognize a special person for their significant contribution and support during his/her tenure.

More information about these new awards, such as a full award description, eligibility requirements and the nomination process can be found at the website listed below.

The nomination period is now open for Distinguished Service, Distinguished Achievement, Young Alumni Service, Young Alumni Achievement, Service Citations, Lifetime Service and Active Citizenship & Public Service awards.
